Day 1
Morning
Hiking from the campsite: “la Corniche des Gras” 10 km – 3 h – altitude difference 270 m.
You will discover “les Gras”, landscape of garrigues and clapas (stone piles). You will walk along these dry stone walls previously built by the farmers.
These landscapes depict the history and life of the Ardèche region, between crests, hills, plateaus and plains.

Afternoon

Visit the Aven d’Orgnac and follow in the footsteps of Robert de Joly who discovered the cave in 1935. Discover this underground nugget and enjoy a temperature of 12°.
Don’t forget to put on your shoes, there are 720 steps in total to descend!

Day 2
Morning
Hiking tour from the Labeaume car park “Labeaume and its hanging gardens” 10 km – 3 h – vertical drop 250 m.
Discover the beautiful panorama of the Cévennes and the charming village of Labeaume “village of character” between old stones and river.
The route is signposted from the main car park.

Afternoon
Visit of Montreal castle 4 km from the campsite. This medieval castle stands at an altitude of 289 m with its 12th century keep, unique in Ardèche. Discover its magnificent Renaissance interior courtyard, with mullioned windows, suspended balconies, large spiral staircase and vaulted rooms.

Day 3
Morning
Hiking on ” the Gorges de l’Ardèche “ 15 km – 5h30 – altitude difference 280 m.
Go on the trails between Vallon-Pont-d’Arc and Saint-Remèze, in the gorges of the Ardèche after the Pont-d’Arc. This walk offers very beautiful views of the valleys of the Ardèche, Tiourre, the plateau of Saint-Remèze and then the Pont-d’Arc on the way back.

Day 4
Morning
Hiking” the nipples of Vernon and the cave-cascade of Baumicou ” 7 km – 2h30 – vertical drop 167m.

Discover extraordinary geological phenomena, in particular the beautiful Baumicou waterfall that you will see from inside a cave.

 

Afternoon
Walk between the old stones of Balazuc “village of character”. A small medieval village classified as one of the “most beautiful villages in France”. You will be immersed in the history of our beautiful Ardèche region.
Take the opportunity to discover “le vieil Audon” (hamlet near Balazuc), accessible only on foot by a 300 m path. Dive into the heart of a cooperative hamlet, an opportunity to share life on the farm.

Day 5
Morning
Hiking tour “le Bois de Païolive” 10 km – 3 h – 160 m difference in altitude.
Discover a particularly interesting woodland above the town of Les Vans.

Afternoon
Visit of the Chauvet Cave 2, a perfect copy of the cave discovered 20 years ago.
Scientists, engineers and artists have reconstructed a masterpiece with paintings of animals running, hunting or clashes.
Thus we can feel the wonder that must have animated the cave’s discoverers.

Day 6
Hiking on the day ” la Tour de Brison “ 14 km – 5 h – vertical drop 424 m.
According to an old legend, the devil removed a stone every year from the Tour de Brison. It has been restored and in the Middle Ages it was very effective as a lookout. Today it is a wonderful viewpoint for hikers. We can observe Mont Ventoux on a clear day!

We welcome you every evening to the pizzeria of the campsite, come and taste our Ardèche boards (cold meats and local cheese) as well as our homemade pizzas over a wood fire.
